Dr. Soeun Park's Research Lab

Dr. Soeun Park is a socioecological thinker influenced by her family’s journey of recovery from intergenerational trauma rooted in patriarchal pressures.

She was born and raised in South Korea, while her large family moved between Japan and Korea. Having a bicultural influence early on in her life, she eventually came to the U.S. and completed her Ph.D. degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Iowa.

Through her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, she was trained by transnational, feminist, and multicultural professionals.

As a Korean immigrant woman, she actively paves the way to raise mental health awareness and amplify the marginalized voices in the Korean/Korean American communities.

To join the lab, please check back in Spring 2024 for a call for applications.
